Under his stewardship, KenGen continues to champion innovation beyond power generation, including the promotion of energy tourism through flagship attractions such as Olkaria Geothermal Spa—a unique destination showcasing the intersection of geothermal energy, sustainability, and tourism.

Daniel Mbugua
A dynamic leader in Africa's tourism and hospitality sector, he serves as Chairman of the Tour Operators Society of Kenya, where he champions industry standards, collaboration, and sustainable growth. As Director General of Memoirs Hospitality Global Network, he drives innovation, strategic partnerships, and global positioning for hospitality brands across emerging and established markets. In his role as Managing Director of Bigfoot Adventures, he has built a reputation for delivering authentic, experience-driven travel that connects people to culture, nature, and meaningful journeys.
With a deep understanding of both ground operations and executive leadership, he bridges the gap between vision and execution. His work focuses on empowering tour operators, elevating service quality, and advocating for fair industry practices. Passionate about transforming tourism into a force for economic impact and cultural preservation, he continues to shape the future of travel in Kenya and beyond.

Dr. Martin Muchangi
Dr Muchangi is a globally recognized thought leader in climate change, public health, and environmental health systems, with expertise spanning WASH and neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). He is a trusted advisor to the World Health Organization and has significantly shaped research and policy in public health across Africa.
Currently serving as Programme Director for Population Health and Environment at Amref Health Africa, he provides strategic and technical leadership on climate change, WASH, and NTDs across more than 10 countries in East, West, and Southern Africa.
At ISTCE 2026, Dr. Muchangi brings critical insights on the intersection of health, climate resilience, and sustainable development—key pillars in advancing responsible and sustainable tourism ecosystems across the continent.

Mr. Geoffrey Chege Kirundi
Mr. Kirundi is a senior leader at the Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA), with extensive experience in Kenya’s tea industry and sustainable agribusiness. He champions innovative approaches that link tea production with sustainable tourism, promoting immersive tea tourism experiences that showcase Kenya’s rich agricultural heritage.
Mr. Chege Kirundi holds an LLB degree from the University of Nairobi and Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. He is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya, a qualified Notary Public, a certified Public Secretary (CPS), and Commissioner for Oaths and a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
His work focuses on advancing climate-smart practices, enhancing value addition, and positioning tea landscapes as unique eco-tourism destinations. Through his leadership, Mr. Kirundi continues to drive initiatives that support rural livelihoods while contributing to sustainable and inclusive tourism development.

David Ngarama
David Ngarama is the Chief Executive Officer of Kenya Trade Network Agency (KenTrade), the state agency under The National Treasury and Planning responsible for advancing trade facilitation through Kenya’s Single Window System.
With over 23 years of public sector experience, he has held senior roles in trade, finance, and planning, and played a key role in shaping Kenya’s trade policy and regional integration efforts across Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa and East African Community.
At ISTCE 2026, Mr. Ngarama will bring deep expertise in digital trade systems, cross-border facilitation, and policy innovation—critical to advancing sustainable and seamless tourism and trade ecosystems across Africa.

Paul Mutua is a visionary leader in sports tourism and a driving force behind Sports Tourism Limited, where he champions the integration of sports, travel, and destination marketing across East Africa.

Trained in the United Kingdom with a Diploma in Tourism and Travel Agency Management, he blends global perspective with deep-rooted industry insight, shaped by a strong family background in tourism.
As founder of R12 Africa Limited in Nairobi, Rizwan has led the company to national recognition, earning the Kenya Tourism Awards’ Best Tour & Travel Agency honor.
